Ek Nazar

This entire number is actually a Poetry...or say...Shayari!Its a Shayar or Poets way of conveying the need to meet your loved one and give that one look to convey everything without saying a word.
The entire poetry is based on the two words used differently everytime-Ek Nazar...One Look!
Kishoreda has used the maximum variations in this song and made it very difficult for anyone to replicate it....
I loved the words in this song, since it matched exactly what i needed to convey to Storm!
The picturisation of this song was ...well not very good, but i have retained it for the sake of authenticity!
AB & Jaya are as usual...superb!
Hope youll guys like it too...
Something differently Romantic....
Pyaar ko Chhahiye kya Ek Nazar...Ek Nazar....

Tum bin jaaoon kahan

The words of this song say it all......
There is nothing more heart wrenching than probably remembering a person and not being able to see her.....
But then...such is Life...
This is one of the first songs i was attracted to of Kishoreda's multiple facets, which lured me into opening my vocal chords.....
Specially since this same song is sung later in the film by Mohd Rafi Sahab, picturised on Shashi Kapoor...
And what a difference in the Aalaaps......and the thrust...Kishoreda just took the song away....
Ive as usual picked up...or tried to pick up these small aspects and hope you'll like and enjoy it too....
This ones again for you Storm.....kuch na phir ..chhaha kabhi...tumko chahh ke...

Shokhiyon mein ghola jaaye

Prem Pujari-A film of the 70's,with SD Burman at his peak, and Kishoreda as versatile as ever..
I remember hearing Kishoreda live during our Ganapati Festival in our Income Tax Colony at Pedder Road with Lataji and frankly at that time i was concentrating more on the Congo player since i was only into percussion...
The words in the beginning were confusing but the rhythm...divine...
This is another song which takes your breath away thanks to its continuous modulations of swar and tempo.
Dev Anand and Waheeda make a great pair and no wonder this movie made it to the Filmfare awards..
Its useless to try this song on a normal karaoke...u will murder it...
As usual,im posting the second song from this film, the first being..Phoolon ke rang se...though i reckon all the songs in this movie are great!
Hope you''l guys find this rendition interesting and encourage me to do better..
Needless to say, this song too is impossible without the nightingale of India on your track...
So here''s...Shokhiyon mein ghola jaaye, phoolon ka shabab...Complete Romance... Dev Style...

Pehle Pehle pyaar ki

The Guitar chords in this song are very European. This tune is very familiar to the tunes you hear in Italy,Rome,Switzerland...
I liked the way this song has been created...very innovative...and ofcourse brilliantly sung by both Asha Bhonsle & Kishore Kumar.
I must share one aspect in this song.....there are four different types of modulations used by my Guru in singing the words ''Deewaanaa''....
The first is the bloody toughest and it took me nearly 4 days to get that modulation right....
Kishoreda has taken a nasal voice in this song backed up by a Bass boost...which is why he is able to get that punch in all the words...very easy to say...but believe me very difficult to get it right.
But then in the end....it all has to sound right...Right!
So here's ''Pehle Pehle Pyaar ki Mulaqatein yaad hai'' with Asha Auntie...
For me.. again its....memories.....

Kehna Hai

Padosan-A film made by the legendary Mehmood. Most of the songs were Brilliant and though i have also sung "mere saamnewali khidki mein',this song was a masterpiece by Kishoreda who taught me the flow of a song, which is typical of his style.
Ofcourse, this song i had sung with only Storm in mind and am therefore posting this number on the Blog today,to say...Kehna Hai...aaj tumse....ke tum hi toh laayi... ho jeevan mein mere...pyaar.. pyaar... pyaar...there cant be anyone else...
Its nice to hear the legendary Kishoreda playbacking in my style, though in this song ive blindly tried to copy his every nuance and histrionics.....
Hope you'll enjoy that feel too....
And once again thanks for the overwhelming feedback....Love you guys....

Deewana leke aaya Hai

Mere Jeevan Saathi-One of the best films of the 70's,with songs each better than the other....
Though O mere Dil ke chain was my favourite,i must say that this song touched my heart and i will cherish it all the more since i remember the day i recorded it.....
The feel of this song has a dual meaning-happy from outside...and heartbroken from inside...
On this day the 8th of July....2011...another masterpiece from RD Burman........

Aaye Tum Yaad Mujhe

The Rains...The month of July......still reminds me...of those days...when Storm moved out of my life...
This song is a revival of a memory that happened.
Kishoreda has really poured his heart out in this number to get that effect of melancholy, suitably backed ofcourse by the reverb & Delay effect...
In my case ive just given it my best shot...since i was not actually singing consciously during the recording...but just let myself immerse in someones thought....and tried to remember...
Aaye Tum Yaad Mujhe......
Dedicated to her...for those times which i will always cherish.....
